Kedarnath: Kedarnath is located in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district. It is located at around 3584 meters astounding height above sea level. The Kedarnath temple is situated amidst the breathtaking snow-capped Garhwal Himalayan ranges and is visited by thousands of pilgrims and tourists each year. It houses an ancient shrine that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Inside the temple, there is a small hall decorated with statues of Draupadi, Virbhadra, Krishna, Pandavas, and many other deities.
Badrinath: Situated at around 10,170 feet elevation above sea level, Badrinath is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. It is perched between the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges. It houses a famous temple that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Inside the temple, there is Lord Badrinarayan’s 3.3-foot-tall black stone idol sitting in a meditative pose under a Badri tree. Below the temple, there is Tapt Kund, a medicinal hot sulfur spring where you can take a holy dip before entering.
Gangotri: Gangotri is a sacred town in the state of Uttarakhand. It is perched at an altitude of 3,100 meters and is situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. According to Hindu mythology, Goddess Ganga descended to earth from heaven here; into Lord Shiva’s hair locks. The entire local life and town is centered around the Gangotri temple which was constructed in the nineteenth century by Amar Singh Thapa.
Yamunotri: Yamunotri Temple is situated in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. It houses the shrine of Goddess Yamunotri and holds lots of prominence for Hindu devotees. Yamunotri Temple exudes the perfect blend of Tibetan and traditional Garhwali architectural styles. It is situated at an elevation of 3,293 meters above sea level and its design has been adapted to withstand the challenging mountain climate.
Guidelines for Passengers:
- Since there is limited space in the helicopter for luggage you will be allowed to carry only 5 kg luggage per person.
- Do not carry suitcases as there is limited space for accommodating them in the helicopter. Travelers are advised to carry only handbags for the yatra.
- Although at these locations day temperatures are normal it becomes very cold at night. All passengers should carry woolen clothes to protect themselves from the extreme weather.
- Carry a basic medical kit and all the important medications.
- Senior citizens or children won’t be provided any concession for the yatra.
- Children above 2 years of age will have to pay the full amount for the ticket.
- Passengers need to carry a valid government-issued ID, like a voter ID card or passport, at the time of check-in for verification.
- Passengers need to inform the airline in advance if they have any kind of medical conditions that can affect their flying ability.
- Passengers shouldn’t carry any dangerous or sharp objects, like scissors or knives, on the helicopter.
- Most helicopter packages include vegetarian meals and lodging in nearby hotels. Pilgrims are advised to verify these inclusion details before making reservations.
Terms and Conditions
- The helicopter yatra to Char Dham is subject to weather conditions. Due to adverse weather or poor visibility, the helicopter tour may be canceled or delayed.
- Passengers should only carry essential items and avoid carrying heavy luggage.
- Passengers must inform the airline beforehand if they have any severe medical condition that may affect their flying ability.
- You need to deposit the full amount 14 days before the Char Dham yatra.
- Rescheduling of booking will be done to the next date on payment of 10% of the cost and subject to availability. This will only be allowed if you apply 7 days before the journey date. If you request rescheduling less than 7 days to the journey your booking will be cancelled and you will have to make a fresh booking subject to availability.
- The total weight of the passenger must not be beyond 400:5 PAX /450:6 PAX. If the weight limit is found to be above the said weight the flight won’t take off and we’ll have to cancel the journey immediately (it is important to provide the right weight details to avoid such a situation.
- If due to unforeseen reasons you’re not able to finish the journey within the stipulated time and due to technical reasons/ bad weather conditions you’re unable to visit one or more Dhams then the company will make arrangements to visit all the sacred destinations within the stipulated time. In the worst cases, if this is not possible the company will have to refund the original amount.
- The Company can delay, advance, or reschedule the commencement of the flight without assigning any reason. The Company can refuse to carry anyone whom it finds unfit for travel.
